Type Rating Queries

I am planning to go for a Boeing 737 Initial Type rating. Please help me answering some of my questions.

1) Is Lapsed IR an issue with DGCA? do I have to renew it prior to my TR?

What have others done earlier? how did you all go for the TR with your lapsed IR? Mine is endorsed on Beechcraft duchess ,where can I renew it?
Kindly share.

2) What are the formalities to be done at DGCA before leaving for the TR? just in case if new rules have been amended,I would like to be in the light.

3) Alpha Aviation Academy,U.K. Or Oxford Aviation Academy, Stockholm. ??? Kindly Suggest.
Any other TRTO??

Every Suggestion, Opinion, thought and View is welcome.
All the Type rated Pilots, Kindly share your experience over the matter. do's and dont's.
Thanks in Advance.
Happy Landings.

For what I know, Lapsed IR is not a problem ,I did my TR with IR lapsed,When you do your TR ,Your IR will be renewed in the type of aircraft you fly.

They are no formalities to be carried out in DGCA , I went directly , making sure that the trto is ICAO approved, which almost every TRTO is.

There is a syllabus on DGCA website which has to be strictly followed ,

Earlier they used to ask us to get a NOC , but now it's not required , you can read the legislation laid down in the DGCA CARs

The choice of trto is strictly yours , the two you have mentioned are icao approved and apart from the two you have mentioned , almost every one adheres To industry and icao standards.
