Other than the fact that IndiGo Cadet Pilot program is very expensive there is nothing wrong with the program A job offer before starting training is way better than training to be a pilot and then struggling with the rest of the unemployed pilots in India for a job . In most cases its a big struggle to even get called for the job... In such a scenario cadet pilot programs are the way to go especially given that IndiGo has a very good track record of honouring its offers to hire it cadet pilots I'm new to pprune. But have read a lot of your posts that help a lot of the aspiring pilots. I've just been selected for the IndiGo cadet pilot program. I wanted to ask you if you had some idea of whether there is any bank that is willing to provide loan for the entire course fees. It would be kind of you if you could provide some info about the same or about any financing option for that matter. Thanks in advance! |
@akmass
Congrats on being selected As for loans I am not very familiar with them and rules and regulations keep changing from time to time You can try the normal PSU Banks like SBI etc . HDFC has one institution specifically for educational loans called Credila You can try them as well |

HDFC has one institution specifically for educational loans called Credila You can try them as well Tried my luck with both SBI and credila. Sbi has an upper limit of 10 lakhs because the course is in India. Credila is ready to provide the entire amount but the only problem is the payment of monthly interest during the course period. Have decided to wait until the LOI signing to make sure I'm clear with the terms and conditions before making a decision about financing. |
I have a suggestion that might help
I believe you can delay your joining into NFTI as a cadet pilot after being accepted. If possible first pass all your CPL papers and DGCA RT exams before joining / flight training at NFTI . If you can get the theory papers and RT exams out of the way then you can fast track your flight training That way you will be in and out of flying school pretty quickly without the burden on passing the CPL papers weighing on you and having to spend money on interest payments ( if your theory papers are holding you behind ) |
Oh ok. Wasn't aware of that. Will explore that possibility too. Thanks Cyril!

Hi
Hi Cyril,
I wanted to know the latest condition of NFTI, Gondia as the reviews posted in the year 2012 are very bad. Is the current condition also bad or it is good now. Also is it safe to pursue indigo cadet program as I am an engg and MBA graduate with 3.5 years for work exp in good MNC but due to my interest i want to pursue this training. so would it be a good and sound decision for me to leave the job and pursue this training. Is it certain that Indigo will hire me? |
Does anyone have the previous years question papers for the written test?
Pls send it to me at [email protected] |

Is it certain that Indigo will hire me? The cadet-to-airplane ratio however isn't great at the moment. The last couple of indigo batches have been massive in size, so be prepared for some delays if you do choose to join. Nothing is a certainty. Indigo will give you a letter of intent if you get through their cadet pilot recruitment process. However, I'm yet to come across an Indigo cadet who hasn't been inducted. Whether you want this enough to quit your job and change careers is a personal decision. Think long and hard about it and then decide. |

Are CAE and Indigo still in contract?
I heard CAE and Indigo were in 5 year contract from 2011. Are they still in contract.? The CAE site still shows the Indigo CPP details, but do you have any inside news about their future plans.?
Also, what about present NFTI condition and the overall status of the Indigo CPP.? Thanx in advance. :) |

INDIGO CADET PILOT BY CTC AVIATION
I am 17. Indian National currently giving my cbse boards in Dubai. I want to apply for Indigo Cadet Pilot Program by Ctc Aviation. I want to know more about this program, the working conditions of pilots in Indigo airlines and their salaries. The price for this course is around 85 lakh. I also want to know how many % of cadets have failed simulator test. My second option is Alpha Aviation Academy in Sharjah.

Indigo now offering cadet program by FTA? (Flight Training Adelaide)
Hi All,
Just read in the paper and their site that Flight Training Adelaide is now offering cadet courses for Indigo for aspiring pilots? Does anyone have any information on this? How does Indigo need this many personnel that they have a cadet program from CAE (India + Oz), CTC (NZ) and now FTA? Or has Indigo's contract with CAE expired? Which one would you recommend joining? Looking forward to everyone's 2cents on this! :) |
Any idea if IndiGo will start a sponsored cadet pilot program?
