flyygirl 24th Jan 2011 04:36

@peep,
why do u think spice would not hire.also why would you say q400 types a waste.fromwhat i know they have started hiring capts on turbo prop and hence tehy will also need fos in future.
anything??

LbyD 24th Jan 2011 14:35

flygirl

spicejet is looking for senior FOs for their bombardier Q400s... who already hold some airline experience or have thousand hours... they dont want the trainee ones.. .. their advertisement came last wednesday in ascent TOI...

flyygirl 24th Jan 2011 15:14

lbyd thanx much:)!i had an idea but wasnt sure!any knowledge about them hiring fos?type cost and place to do?estimated intake?

SuperflyTNT 24th Jan 2011 15:16

Spicejet asked for Captains and Senior FO's with an ATPL and flight time and type on the Q400. There must be only a handful of Indian pilots with experience and type on the Q400 is my guess. So, they will have to hire expats (as Commanders) to fly them for a certain period and also pilots with type and no hours for the postition of FO. I am only assuming though.

flyygirl 24th Jan 2011 15:19

@ superfly perfectly makes sense.but can they hire expats now?i knw the period to use their services has been extended to 2013 june but is new hiring of expats for what so ever reason permitted?:oh:

guitarboy 25th Jan 2011 02:54

So from the Aug 2010 Exam, anyone got an idea as to what fleet theyr being inducted on??

midnight cowboy 25th Jan 2011 04:43

Of course they (the airlines) can hire expats.

And you've answered your question yourself. The deadline would be further extended till 2015, and predictably will again get extended to 2018-20 etc and so on.

skaios 25th Jan 2011 05:57

Does anyone know the status of the FOs selected in the last recruitment process? Have they completed their type or are they still waiting in the wings?

Also are they getting any stipend while they wait? What are the other T&Cs set by Jet?

Just curious..

flyygirl 25th Jan 2011 06:42

@midnight i ask this because hiring and using the existing pilots services are 2 diff things right?
rest am not aware.if there is any particular car you have gone through post a link
thankyou

flyygirl 25th Jan 2011 06:45

brussels

midnight cowboy 25th Jan 2011 07:47

@flygirl

They're different things but as far as SG, 6E and 9W go, they're definitely going to hire more expat pilots.

These things are not mentioned in the CARs. They happen in the backstage over a few drinks and exchange of briefcases.

aviation_insider 25th Jan 2011 07:58

@fly girl.

1st batch have finished their type rating and are going for their loft.
2nd batch , done with exams are going for their type rating anytime soon.
3rd batch still in ground school . Their exam is on 17th Feb.
4th batch is joining on 31st feb.
5th batch is going for their company medical in feb and are scheduled to join in march
6th batch, their IPT is done and they are supposed to join in May-June.

Till 4th batch everyone is on B737. IPT is done for all the selected people.

aviator_boeing747 25th Jan 2011 08:52

4th batch is joining on 31st feb.

aviation_insider 25th Jan 2011 10:02

flyygirl 25th Jan 2011 12:44

flyygirl 25th Jan 2011 12:48

epic787 26th Jan 2011 06:16

If 6th batch is to be joined in month of may-june, then how are they planing to hire more pilots on 27th feb?

RTR A

Guys in todays TIMES ASCENT Jet Airways ADVT for Type Rated First officers its clearly mentioned they need valid RTR (A)...even for trainee FO they want RTR (A) i dont think its a mistake they are very clear with what they want...!!!!:ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh:

planeboy_777 27th Jan 2011 09:05

yaa that correct you need to have an indian RTR(A)...:):)

djajay.jayaraj 27th Jan 2011 10:22

 has the Jet Air, HR confirmed that we need a RTR-A

Iv tried to get in touch, but unable to get a reply ....

aviation_insider 27th Jan 2011 12:55

A valid RTR is required, doesn't matter if it A or P or whatever. They are concerned that you have a rtr with validity and not an expired one which renders a pilot for them grounded.
I know many people who have been selected in 2010 aug recruitment with RTR (p).
So relax.. don't panic.

cats200 27th Jan 2011 13:02

Even i know a couple of people with height less than 162.5cms and lapsed IR who got IN.....I am talking about the current requirement!!!!
