FTA Flight Grading
 

Just checking in to see if anybody else managed to get through to Flight Grading. I begin this week after passing stages 1,2 and 3, anybody else joining me?

Words of wisdom, well basically my advice would be to just know your stuff. Depending on what your previous knowledge is and what you have done before will decide what you should be focusing on. If you have your PPL then make sure you know your PPL stuff well, if you only have your BAK or GFPT then make sure you know up to those levels. I have completed the first half year of Uni so I made sure that I was up to speed with what I have learnt.

For the interviews your best bet is to just stay calm and answer the questions as you go, there's no real way to 'prepare' other than what I said before. I didnt feel as if I was under pressure in any of the interviews and was quite relaxed, the interviewers were very nice!

May I ask when did you apply for CX?

Beginning of July.

wow so under 2 months you applied online, had interview 1 and 2 and 3--is this correct?

so Darkrampage, how long did it take you to hear back from stage1, then stage 2 and stage 3. I imagine stge 3 to flight grading is a pretty quick process. Also when did you do your medical, was it pre stage3.

Yep.

Put in application, was called about 4 days later for stage 1 (about a week from the call).
Did stage 1, about a week later was called and asked to go to HK for stage 2 (about 2 weeks notice from the call).
Did stage 2, found out the next morning while still in HK about stage 3.
Did stage 3 that same day.
Got back to ADL the next day, got called 2 days later for grading(about 4 days from the call).

Medical was done at stage 3.

There is a stage 3 before flight grading? I thought 1A and B are interviews/basic aptitude tests locally, stage 2 is the group exercise in hk, and 3 is the flight grading?
