Indigo

Guys,ne news frm CAE?

shanx 5th Apr 2010 22:14

@avitrz

None of my friends who applied got any call.

I did hear from one friend that they mostly will be calling a few people for assessment sometime this week or next week.

tangowithtushar 6th Apr 2010 02:34

yep no call or email for me...

Maneesh 6th Apr 2010 06:06

Hi avitrz

I think you submit all your required docs to dgca for the ir renewal. take sufficient attested copies of that docs before submission. Collect your acknowledgment receipt from dgca. Normally dgca need 2 week for the renewal. During that time you can deal other things by that attested copy and acknowledgment receipt of dgca. because too much thinking on this matter will def loose your time & chance. Good luck

avitrz 6th Apr 2010 14:03

@Maneesh,
Thank you,i thought of the same..bt is it safe to snd them through speed post?

Maneesh 7th Apr 2010 05:10

Hi avitrz

Sending your original docs via speed post is not so good. Best option is to go any dgca state-wise office and submit your docs directly,if your location is too far from dgca,delhi office.one of my friend submitted his IR renewal docs at chennai dgca office 2 weeks back. good day

passion2fly 7th Apr 2010 11:42

Now days you have to submit your IR renewal docs at your dgca regional office,you cant submit at the dgca head office.

alfamassimo 7th Apr 2010 17:15

CAE-Indigo assessment application? I missed it entirely! :{ Is it too late to apply now?

Does anyone know whether it it advertised in the papers or was in their website only? Any good websites (aside from pprune) that I can monitor and keep up with the current job openings in India, when there is one, that is?

K_J 7th Apr 2010 17:48

@alfamassimo

you can anyway apply for the CAE program(after entering your details on their site)......
With many people so willing to pay for their Type Ratings...i dont think this will be a one off thing.....
CAE most likely will be seeing us as "a wad of dollars" waiting to fall into their hands!!!!!!

optimus.Prime 7th Apr 2010 17:54

@alfamassimo,

Try ur luck....you never know!

avitrz 8th Apr 2010 06:09

@passion2fly,

One can submit theire docs at the regional office,atleast 2 weeks before their rating expires,if it has expired then dgca hd office is the only choice.

silent_scream 8th Apr 2010 10:20

@avitrz,

As per the Flight Crew Licensing Circular 1/2010,

The application for renewal shall be submitted at least 30 days in advance of the expiry of the licence/ rating.
So if your IR is valid till the 8th May 2010, today was the last day you could apply for renewal of the license at the regional centers. From tomorrow onwards, the Headquarters will entertain themselves with your application.

IR Renewal

Hey guys
Anybody successfully renewed thr ME IR recently? Mine lapsed 2 weeks back.Can anyone tell me how much i need to fly to get it renewed? DGCA and flying schools have conflicting info on this. Also, is an NOC from DGCA needed for flying after a year gap. (My last flight was in march 2009)

Thanks a lot !!:)

avitrz 9th Apr 2010 04:02

Thank you guys.

And am srry for letting the thrd run loose....SO about "Indian aviation vacancy",what the heck are the folks at CAE upto?

draxis 9th Apr 2010 09:32

Apparently, the first batch of selections is over...Next batch awaited

optimus.Prime 9th Apr 2010 10:39

the first batch of selections is over
True.:ok:

Surprisingly only Two of'em made it through to the Interview!
:confused:

avitrz 9th Apr 2010 17:30

And the next batch...lolz...they have no idea when that would be!!

tmbpilot 10th Apr 2010 17:53

yeah two made it through,,,apparently both had big contacts in indigo...learned from other thread one of the guy was a nephew of a very senior indigo official and second some relative of a TRI....this is again turning out to be air india all over again

Capt_Lsd 11th Apr 2010 08:20

@tmbpilot
which is the other thread your referring to?

tmbpilot 11th Apr 2010 09:24

@Capt_Lsd its something like sunita the snake and her dog blue ....thread of indigo pilots mostly expats....in south asia itself

dsouza_FIT 11th Apr 2010 10:33

Type Rating

Quick Comment

With the way the indian aviation industry is hiring, wouldnt it be much easier just to get a type rating and then applying to companies like Indigo. I agree its going to expensive, but if thats how the industry is moving do any of us have a choice really ???????

the most important fact is, in the current situation the pilots that make it thru interviews have come with alot of contacts(i.e air india) and money and this is never going to change, well atleast not for along time.

jimmygill 11th Apr 2010 12:11

As far as Indigo is concerned, by getting your private type-rating, you are denying them a revenue stream.
Do you really think it will help?

shanx 11th Apr 2010 12:40

If you search around on the internet and enquire a few schools in USA and Canada regarding B737 or A320 type ratings, you'll find at least 5-6 schools offering an initial type for less than 6-8 Lakh rupees.

All the airlines either have a tie-up with TRTOs to provide training to their fresh cadets or have their own training centers (Air India, Jet Airways for instance).

A good amount of $$$ is earned through in house training and hence it would make no difference for a fresher to get his/her own type rating. Definitely not in the present scenario.

silent_scream 11th Apr 2010 13:34

Agree with Jimmy and Shanx, There are already lots of Pilots with A320 / B737 Self Sponsored type rating. It's not helping.

Capt.LSD, the 'Indigo Hiring via CAE' thread http://www.pprune.org/interviews-job...ml#post5589580

Capt_Lsd 11th Apr 2010 17:18

@silent scream,,,.. iv already been current with that thread..
thanks anyways though..:ok:

davidjsamuel 12th Apr 2010 08:27

Indigo needs 30 trainee FOs totally

flyjet787 12th Apr 2010 20:18

Jet Starts Recruitment

Apparently all the people from the sep 2008 batch who cleared their sim checks have got emails from Jet asking them to CONFIRM AVAILABILITY. I believe Jet will call these people for medicals soon and there after start their ground tranining. Also heard that they will be needing more pilots and we can expect another recruitment drive in about 2-3 months. But I heard they will be looking for people with more flying hours (not the typical 200-250 range but more like 350-500 and above :ooh:).

And AI I heard is going ahead and recruiting the 90-100 trainees+cadets. Dont have much info as to when they are being inducted and stuff. And there is a lot of tension between the pilots of AI and IC regarding intake of Trainees by AI so I dont think we are going to see any Ads from AI or IC in the near future.:{

Spice needs and will need pilots very soon. But most of em if not all will be internal candidates. No exam or anything of that sort being planned.:rolleyes:

Indigo..you all know whats happening.

The other airlines (GO, I7, KF, Deccan 360) are still in deep s:mad:t.. looks like the wait is going to continue for some more time...:ugh:

optimus.Prime 13th Apr 2010 06:30

Also heard that they will be needing more pilots and we can expect another recruitment drive in about 2-3 months.
Are you sure? No substantial a/c deliveries apart from the 6 ATRs which will be dry-leased, so i wonder what the recruitment will be for?
:confused:

flyjet787 13th Apr 2010 08:39

Recruitment at Jet is primarily to replace the expats. There are quite a few Senior Indian FOs being upgraded to capts. to replace the expats. The news guys will take the FOs places who have been upgraded. And I belive there are adding a small number of ATRs and 737s.

optimus.Prime 13th Apr 2010 10:16

^^^^,

Amen to that!
