From start to finish, how long?

Once you apply online, then go through all of the interviews... how long does it take before you report for training? I was told it can take a year or more.. is this true?

Applied in September '06, first interview in Dec '06, 2nd in March '07. Have been told class dates will be at the end of the year for US freighter or first quarter 08 for UK freighter.

Keep in mind.... that there are people out there who have applied, and have been updating on a regular basis for years and still have not recieved a call for interview. What kind of experience do you have?

I ran into a Cathay recruiter who encouraged me to apply. I'm a former military pilot with about 4,800 TT and 2,300 pic.
