Stage 2 Sim question

Hi, Ive tried a search first but no real joy on this.

Having received my paperwork and brief for hong kong, the sim profile does not have any EPR/Attitude settings? Im just checking something hasnt been forgotten in my paperwork or if this is part of the sim detail (learning by trial).

Appreciate any help.

Thanks TrackZulu,

I guess I should have expanded my search parameters.

Appreciated.

If you get the stick shaker and/or buffet during the steep turns, do they want to see you simply reduce back pressure to reduce the load factor, or completely roll wings level?

Fully recover from the stick shaker using your normal procedure.

I've never flown a 747, so I don't have a 'normal' procedure...

rjmore 2nd Feb 2007 12:17

That's why I wrote "your" normal procedure and not the 747 normal procedure. They aren't expecting you to know 747 stuff, just do what you would always do in that situation....recover, like you would in your current aircraft using your company procedure.

Personally, I got the shaker, rolled wings level and reduced thrust to maintain speed and altitude. Seemed to work fine for me, I have been employed by CX for almost a year now.

Good Luck,

Mayday

I got the shaker aswell , was a bit harsh on the back pressure in the turn trying to maintain altitude. Simply released the pressure and continued the turn onto the given heading. Must admit , I thought I'd scr..d the pooch...

They thought it was ok :}
