Preparing for your Cathay Pacific Interview book

Is there anyone who's got the 11th edition for sale?
I'm looking to buy one, but no one seems to have it in stock.
Used or new is fine.
Please PM me.
Thanks

Got my 11th edition at www.thresholdaviation.com about a month ago. I don't know if they still have them.

Thanks.
They were out of stock on them.
But I finally found one today.

BTW, is your interview coming up soon at JFK?

What's changed from the 10th to the 11th edition? Just a basic update or something earth shattering?

Anyone got a second hand 11th edition for sale?

ASA_DFW 9th Aug 2006 17:26

I found the book for sale at aviationworld.net . They are located in Toronto and will ship to the US. My total cost was around $72 for the book and ship it to Atlanta (2 day air).

Any other suggestions for books to study. Thanks.

Yeah, that's where I found it also.
Seems like a reliable place to get it.
They were out of stock early last week.

ASA, when's your interview?

The gouge is online forever here. Please check it out.

Under General Aviation Discussions. You may have to register to view the files.

I bought the book, but regret it. It's useless--many questions, but no explanations, useless pages of application reprints. Just get the online gouges, HBJ and Ace the Technical Interview.

Do the questions include all positions in CX, such as FO, SO and CPP?

maybe it's kinda silly, but what is HBJ and Ace the Technical Interview.?

Handling the Big Jets (hard to find, but try Ebay), and Ace the Pilot Technical Interview by Gary Bristow.

HtBJ (3rd edition) ISBN: 0 903083 01 9

Might make it easier to find!

Most of the books you need to study for Cathay interviews, like HTBJ, Ace the Tech..., Capt. X,Y,Z, etc. are almost always available from Aviation World. Stores at Vancouver and Toronto airports.

http://www.aviationworld.net

They do mail orders.

I'm glad I bought the Capt. X,Y,Z book, though I agree it is far from perfect. Lots of out of date fleet and financial numbers. Lots of generic advice applicable to any airline application.
The one thing that drove me nuts was that they write about the importance of proofreading your CV and applications, but their book is riddled with grammatical errors! It looks like they used a PC's spellcheck function, but never used an editor.
Anyway, they have 100 multiple choice tech q's in that book, and while I didn't have any of these exact q's on my tech exam, the material you are forced to study as a result is quite relevant.

BTW, it's the same material for the 1st interview as for the 2nd. I don't know what CPP guys need.
