I'm really not sure how many CPP interviews they're holding each year.. it really depends.. As for this year, I've heard ppl going in for interviews (first 2 stages) in April, May and Jul... not sure abt Jan-Mar, and Jul onwards (HR told me there's no fixed schedule yet for after Jul)

Another source told me there's gonna be 2 batch of cadets goin to Adelaide this year (Aug n Oct)

As to how many ppl are selected for the interview.. i really dunno... they have all walks of life going to the interview tho.. n how many actually are selected to the flight training.. I'm sure some other who's been will tell u that... or, wish me luck and I'll ask for u in my interview lol

i am trying to improve my english better in anytime.:)
and i want to ask, how many CPP interview(s)does CX have each year??
what do you reckon how many people are going to the interview??
and how many people will be selected to go to australia for the flight trainning??

The number of people attending the interview; the schedule for the interview and number of people goin to Australia are all depending on the candidates, every year is different.
regarding your medical, hmm...im not sure how true this rumour is, but i heard that someone with 600 (or something) made it into the training, well...i personally have a short-sightness of 350, and CX still offer me a chance for interview.
Well, your english doesn't sound too bad, as someone mentioned earlier on as long as you could communicate with people you'll be fine, plus you're only in year 11 anyway, at the moment you should focus more on your year 12...and make sure you don't stuff it up like i did.:E

Good Luck with everything~~

P.S: forgot to mention that KA finally sent me a reply for my email. Gonna b doing my initial test on the 18th May, anyone up for that?

k3nnyboi, im up for the english/numeric test on may 18th as well

flaps340 26th Apr 2006 03:46

I have been to the initial test of KA in mid-March, and the second test at early April. They have recently invited me to the first interview in end-April.

Really have no idea how many cadets KA are going to take this year. The selection process for stage 1 & stage 2 seems to be keep going in these months. Just wonder if anyone here has passed the 1st interview and receive further invitation?

bigbros 26th Apr 2006 10:58

i just went to the first interview today, have to wait 3 weeks, that is what they say, and the next would be in early june, waiting again..............

K3nnyboy 26th Apr 2006 14:59

cfdwhizkid 26th Apr 2006 17:47

just got an email from KA... how come everyone's going on 18 n mine's 22nd? :(

K3nnyboy 27th Apr 2006 13:34

dw mate...you're not the only one goin on the 22nd, think a friend of mine goin there on the same date as you.

You could call up Dragon and ask them you wanna change date, haha but i suggest u not to, unless u got a damn good reason~~LOL:rolleyes:

flaps340 29th Apr 2006 01:03

K3nnyboy, the numeric test of KA is not something very difficult, but tedious. One advice is, instead of calculating the results one by one, try using some smart way to tackle them faster. It's in some way relates to your sense to numbers. :)

Is CX so desperate to interview pilots with NO experience??

K3nnyboy 4th May 2006 11:36

y not?
in fact the cadetship are design for people with no flying experience!

Lowspirited 4th May 2006 17:11

hehe... Well although the cadet programme was designed for people with no flying experience i think some knowledge of flying would be useful. I remember i was quite shocked when stall training is one of the earliest training you complete after simple handling. Some people might get quite sick during a stall which could render their chance as a pilot near zero... After all passengers might get scared if the pilot turns green :p

smart way? hmm need more details....of course im not tellin u to give me teh answer, but im kind of confuse with wat you are saying~

flaps340 8th May 2006 01:20

Smart way...say, for multiplying a series of numbers to compare different answers, try listing the series out and observe instead of multiplying the chain of numbers at the first time. In some of the questions, you can easily pick the answer/erase some options with this way. Hope you know what I mean.

bigbros. Do you know if KA has started calling people who have passed the 1st interview, or do you get any news so far? I have the interview one day after yours and have no news so far.

For the previous two tests, they replied in a rather short time (only about a week) even they said they will reply by one to two weeks after the test. So this time, even they said it'll be three weeks, just wonder if it will be shorter.

bigbros 10th May 2006 13:38

flap340
i also have no news at all, so i think my chance is slim.........

What about you?
you got the call yet?

bigbros 14th May 2006 07:23

Still no reply
anyone got called after the 1st interview?

flaps340 15th May 2006 02:48

Same as you, bigbros. Waiting anxiously. :ugh:
