Cathay Pacific Cadet Pilot Programme Reapplication
 

Hi fellow pilots,

Can anyone confirm that there is a 1 year waiting period in order to re-apply for the Cathay Pacific Cadet Programme. Thanks ahead.

Yup, I actually emailed them right after my failure from last year...so yea it's 1 yr mate....I just sent off my application again haha...it's been a year for me already!! Time flies huh?

In the same boat as you guys, I didn't make it through last year!:{ Going to give it another go this year. Hopefully they will give me another try this year! In the meantime I've been studying for my Masters in the UK which I'm hoping will improve my chances with CX or KA this time round.

Did you ask for any feedback from CX after your last try for the CPP? I'm starting to regret not giving them a call, but felt a bit down after recieving the letter so I didn't boder! But not entirely sure whether I was rejected last time because of my eyesight! I've got pretty poor eyesight...But will give it another go, nothing to lose I suppose!

Also, any idea when the next cadet courses will be starting?!

Hi guys,

Just want to let you guys know that you can only apply for CPP twice, if you fail twice, you won't be able to reapply for CPP again. I think they used to let applicants apply so many times, some people did get the job after a couple time of attempt, however, rules have been changed.

For the flight grading part, if you fail the flight grading, you have to wait two years to re-apply.

For the cadet ship, if you fail the course and get kick out, you will NOT be able to apply CPP again.

So if you do want to do the 2nd try, make sure you are ready and prepare for it.

Oh! It is the first time that I heard this new rule. Only 2 chances for CPP application? How do you know this new practice?

I failed in the initial aptitude test one month ago because of my poor performance in computer test. Anyway, I will be well-prepared next time. Cheers!!!

At least according to sources at CX Flight Recruitment. Its true.. You can only apply Twice...so make sure you make it count this time..

The next CPP is CP24....October 2005. Flight grading in September.....second In's in Mid August.....Med and Management Interview in Late Aug or Early September..

Yup, JetDriverWannabe is right,

I was told at the 2nd interview yesterday that I can only try one more time if I am not selected this time. Also they told me that the next course(CP 24) will start at the end of October.

CP 23 left on the August 6th 2005.

still waiting after final interview and medical
 

Me and other 3 guys are still waiting for Cx to call us after the final interview and medical. We did the medical last week and now still waiitng........ Anyone knows what's going on inside?

Firstly, CX007, When did u have your second round tests and interview (Flight planning, Group execise etc etc etc)?

Apparently, there is going to be another round of Management Interviews happening next week.

Flight grading for CP 24 canditates is going to happen next month.

I had the whole day long intervew on 26th July. The other 3 guys had that around the same week.

hello i just want to ask whether the 2 application is meaning 2 interviews or just if you send in 2 applications? i've had a first stage interview 1.5 years ago but sent in a 2nd application short of 1 year and got a rejection letter does that mean they'll never see me again? :(

a year ago i was rather arrogant and made some bad posts, but after i got my PPL i understand a lot more and changed, what do they actually look for to give a person a second chance? :{
