Handling the big Jets book...?
Hi all,
A quick question or two.I have an interview coming up in August.I've tried looking for the Davis book and got different prices for different editions (1968/70/75).Does anyone know what is the right edition? Can I buy the 1968 one? Anyone in the states know a good source of finding it and/or the other two: The "tech" book and preparing for the Cathay interview? Any info about aquiring them would be great. Thanks a bunch |
The third edition was printed in December 1971. Any reprints after that would have the same text (I think the latest reprint is 2002) .
I got mine from amazon.co.uk for way cheaper than it would have cost me here, including shipping. |
Yeah I agree it's the best to get it from Amazon. Much cheaper than anywhere else.

If you are talking about "EDITIONS" and not print dates, there are a some differences. Not sure about the diff between edition 1 and 2, but I know that edition 3 has a lot more information on "VERY BIG JETS" and covers a lot on the earlier B747 models. I'd say if you need the book for aerodynamics and other principles of flight you can't go wrong with either edition.
I found that for the interview the 747 stuff was good to know but not necessary. In the interview itself I was asked about the fuel system in the 747 and that was it. |
Hey guys,
Thanks a lot.I actually went to Amazon.co.uk and ordered them. 'Flaps10": If that was the only question about the 747, then what is an area they're concentrating on in the interview? Aerodynamic, plane I fly, performance? Thanks again all, Ron |
I got my copy from www.afeonline.com
