Cathay Pacific Advanced Entry 2018 International Applicants

Hi everyone,

I have moved this thread into wannabes after advice from another user.

Thought I would start a forum for all those interested in the Cathay Pacific Advanced Entry program that opened up again on Jan 22, 2018.

There are fewer details available this time about the programme. Anyone have some additional information? How long it takes? Do you still do Hong Kong ATPL's at FTA given that having already completed your ATPL's is now a requirement? Has anyone been contacted yet?

Hi cairnsflyer,

I don't have any information on your questions, but I wanted to let you know I'm also invited.

We can't send private messages yet due to our newbie accounts so here is my e-mail in case you want to contact me: [email protected]
I'm curious about your story, history and experience in HK so I'm looking forward to your message.

Good luck!

Has anybody else also been contacted yet?

Yes, I made it through to day 2 and I'm back in SA now just waiting for a response.

Hi South African Pilot

Congrats on making it through to day 2! Could you let us know what the interview process was like? What did you do on day 1 and day 2.

I also have been for selection and passed. Great experience was intense though.
I prepped in a 777 sim. Perhaps the only sim available in Europe was in Rome. I booked this through base.mu

contact: [email protected]

They will get you through the sim profile, it was basically identical. Its not worth going on the 737. Much better to fly the 777. Pricing was reasonable also. Very happy overall.

While I can congratulate some of you on your interviews, I do want to ask if some of you have looked at the threads on Fragrant Harbour? Are you all willing to put in 5-7 years as an SO? (Yes, I am very aware they tell you something in the area of 2.5 years on your interview).

Hello everyone,

I too have been invite and looking for advice where to focus my efforts. I am yet to receive any information on the two day process. I believe the first day is a group exercise and then a sim assessment. You're emailed the outcome after and if successful attend the second day with involves a technical exam, Interview and medical. Is this correct? A couple of questions I have is the sim on a 777 or 747 I've heard mixed answers and whats the profile like? The technical exam where should I focus? Is it just ATPL subjects? Type specific questions? Cathay Pacific questions? Some the interview who is present? and what type are questions are they likely to ask? Thanks

Hi guys, I'm looking for a sim buddy who wants to prep the sim assessment together with me in July or August. If anyone is interested, just PM me.
