Jet Airways | Careers

I am starting this thread to focus on the 2014 exam

Let the threads for 2011 and 2013 exams continue as 2011 is still waiting for joining and 2013 is still waiting for medicals . So lets give them their space

A few points

- Jet Airways will accept RTR P and RTR C even though its not mentioned in the ad

- Multi is not required nor is a valid IR required

- Those who select Bangalore will most likely be assigned Chennai (this is what happened for the past 2 exams ) so keep that mind

-Please enter your email carefully before clicking apply as they ask the email ID only once

- After applying you DONT receive a CONFIRMATION EMAIL . You will only see reference number and a yellow smiley face . Note it down somewhere as you wont see it again

-In the past they used to accept applications from those whose Indian DGCA CPL is still in process . I dont see it being any different this time so dont hesitate to apply if you license is still pending in the DGCA . You must have applied for the license atleast

-Please read the threads of 2011 and 2013 to get an idea what they ask in the written exams . Majority of your questions will be answered there

2011 Thread

2013 Thread

Tentative exam date is September 14th ( A Sunday ) unless otherwise mentioned by Jet Airways officially

All the best folks

query

hi cyril
thanks for the info i am applying for the first time my query is as u have mentioned candidates who have applied for cpl with the dgca can apply too
what are we supposed to enter in the column where they ask for date of issue

i hold a dgca issued cpl but my rt is expired i was suppose to appear in this august kolkata attempt but the application is rejected reason given:hrn
any idea what hrn might be ?

so the question is what am i supposed to fill in the rt column where date of issue is asked as now i am planning to get rt permit on foreign frtol

kindly guide me on what is to be done for the date of issue and issuing authority column

thanks in advance

@captss

I find these two statement quite confusing....

hi cyril
thanks for the info i am applying for the first time my query is as u have mentioned candidates who have applied for cpl with the dgca can apply too
what are we supposed to enter in the column where they ask for date of issue
This statement implies that your application for DGCA CPL is under process . For date of issue you can use the date you applied . License number will be the reference number they give on the challan when you apply at the DGCA

i hold a dgca issued cpl but my rt is expired i was suppose to appear in this august kolkata attempt but the application is rejected reason given:hrn
any idea what hrn might be ?
This statement implies you already have a DGCA issued CPL ad RT is the problem . If you have a DGCA CPL then why ask the 1st question ?

For RT just enter the date of issue . The system does not ask the date of expiry

rejected reason given:hrn
any idea what hrn might be ?
HNR means Hard copy Not Received

I have consolidated all the previous year question papers into one pdf file

I am thankful to someone on pprune for uploading the scanned documents on pprune a long time ago and to everyone that gave last years exam for the 2013 questions

Disclaimer : Neither I nor anyone who has contributed to creating this document can vouch for its accuracy or the accuracy of the answers and there is no guarantee that same questions or similar kind of questions will be asked for Jet Airways or any other airline exams

Passport Under Issue

Has anybody applied for the Jet Airways Trainee FO position 2014 with a passport under issue?? Does the online application accept the expired passport details.

or will filling in the old passport details directly disqualify me from attempting the written exams..

Please advice

PS: I have applied for a renewal of my Passport and the file has just left the local polioce station for the passport office..

Big question on Marking of non verbals in jet exam.

Hi there, last time i appeared in jet written exam and found out confusing instruction about markings on nonverbal cubes section.

It said there might be more then one right options and negative marking of minus one for every wrong answer.

If suppose there are four right option and i mark only three rights then will it be minus one to me.
Please answer my doubt if you are absolutely sure.

@ aiming_higher......you will get negative 1 mark irrespective of whether you answer 1 or 2 or 3 out of the 4 options correctly...............you need to tick all the options correctly (if all the options were meant to be the correct answers in this case) to score a perfect 1 mark....Else it's negative 1

You will get a mark for 'each' correct answer. So even if you mark one correct out of lets say 3 correct answers for a particular figure you will get the mark.

You don't have to mark all correct in a question just as many as you can. Just don't mark any answer you are not sure of.

@captss

I would think people can expect to receive further emails from Jet after Aug 31st, since the application window stays open till then. So you can expect something, maybe first week of September.

nobody to reply

I am still waiting for an authentic reply. I am surprised people are preparing for the exam but don't know the marking which is deciding factor.

If there are 3 right options and you mark 2 or 4 options then you will get -1.
You have to mark only the 3 correct answers to get 1 mark
You can also have a question wherein all the 5 options are correct (if you mark 4 correct options you will get minus 1)
If there are no right answers and if you mark anything then you will get - 1 again

So you have to be very careful while attempting this paper
