Hi Blade,
I've known Jaz for a while, but we never personally met. We were introduced by a mutual friend. Back then I just got my A320 type rating and needed lots of advice on how to get that first FO job without any A320 time. Jaz was extremely helpful in giving me tips and general advice. I finally got that A320 job.
Forums are difficult to judge people. Maybe Jaz was a bit too defensive in his comments to Blade, but all I can say is that he is not arrogant at all. Just a great guy who likes to help out others without even thinking what's in it for himself.

FO interview JQHK

Yes, I just talked to a guy that was in the first interview group, he's an FO. It appears the process is very much like that in Australia. The JQ interviews in Singapore and Japan are completely different. I'd go into more detail but I'm sure there are others that would like to share their experiences.

By the way, does anyone have any idea of the Sim profile? Even if you could PM me, I'd be very grateful. I paid a great deal of money to a company for details of the interview, including the simulator, only to find out, after the funds were taken, they don't have a clue.OOPs! Dang, I am a PPruner, unable to post a message without complaining and whining. How cool is that!

FO's

Standby Tony. I'll PM you with some info. I have my interview coming up shortly and will answer all the questions after that. I always get a kick out the ppruners that promise to provide information and do nothing but bitch and complain. But I will say this, depending on your situation, this gig is one of the best ones out there.

Really? The Ts and Cs available from another A320 operator in HK are better. And they're in the same building!

A320 family of A/Cs are?? but with plenty of Boeing & Glass C/pit experience?

I second the call for a summary of the practical T&C's... especially pay and days off etc...

Thanks!

To JAZ:

It looks like the first screening is sim and testing and interview. Can you give a description of the testing and what they covered and the interview.

The sim well that can vary from person to person and ckairman to ckairman.I've been to China so those things can be very goofy sometimes.

Any info you can share would be helpful.
