I haven't found anything specific, but i think you will find a few tips in the
Cathay Cadet Pilot Program - Interview tips (ONLY) thread in the
Fragrant Harbour Wannabes forum.

Few months ago some guys from India informed us here that they received a recection mail.
I did not receive any answer yet.
Have you got any answer from them? invitation or rejection?
Thanks,

Why the silence?
Because they have stopped interviewing non HKID card holders for the next 12 months. That's for both AE and TT.
Even guys with a HKID card and more than 250 hours are only being offered the Ab initio course if successful.
Something to do with having to convert all the 747 drivers over to the 330 and T7.

Its time to bring this thread back to life!CX have opened their AE SO recruitment.....With 350+ pilots forecast to be recruited in 2015 looks like the glory days are back at CX.
'Glory days' at CX? Are you serious?
Relations between CX's pilots and 'management' could be politely described as 'toxic'. Pilots are currently 'working to rule'. There are many law suits currently underway from various pilot groups over contract abuse. The housing package is a disgrace, international airline pilots sharing rooms. Training has been cut to the bone and there have been incidents of incompetent handling due to lack of experience. Many flights are 'all night' to less than desirable destinations in the Middle East. Most down-route hotels are sub-standard. It is almost as if 'management' is going out of its way to 'disengage' or to put it bluntly, piss off their more expensive crew so much, that they will leave or retire so that they can be replaced by cheap cadets.
I would suggest a very thorough read of current and past PPRuNE 'Fragrant Harbour' threads; if your BS filter works properly, you can gain quite an insight into life for a junior pilot at CX. More importantly, should they offer you a 'package', do some VERY serious research into the cost of living, and especially housing, in Hong Kong.
There is a trickle of bases being offered but it is only very senior crew only who are able to take them. At the current rate, you will be waiting decades, along with probably 15 to 20 years for a Command. There have been some monumental screw ups by CX regarding base port labour and taxation laws. But they may dangle the basings 'carrot' in front of you: be very suspicious.
And I can assure you that the jets don't stay shiny very long in the filthy South China air.

Just curious, is the career webpage opens to anyone?
Cause is a couple of days it shows to me this message: We can't find the page you're looking for.
And my very early application, years and years ago, still have the pin number but when you go to Update something it shows me another message like unavailable at the time being!
Did one new account then closed the page, come back to fill up again, and after putting the new pin number, still the same message!
Is this Cathay web page so tricky in these days!?

No surprise. The airline's IT is cheap and nasty. Also, there may be issues with non-Hong Kong ID card holders being accepted into the various recruitment and training programmes. I am unsure of the Hong Kong Immigration Department's current stance on this.
In addition, this thread may be more appropriate on the 'South Asia and Far East Wannabes' forum. You should try asking your questions there.

Hey guys,
About time this thread is being reopened. I have heard they want to recruit 320 new pilots in 2015. First they are clearing the pending files from 2 years ago. about 100 are in the holding pool. First class for AE is starting in the beginning of january and the second in february. I'll be joining the last mentioned, anyone else? please feel free to contact me. So they are up running again. For those applying now, it could take up to a year for the call(you have to be lucky anyway to be picked from their huge pile of cv's), but you will never know how things will go since they need a lot! Best of luck, happy landings and tailwinds for 2015
Cheers!

Hello Tomdw,
I have seen that you took the exam for CX AE recruitment.
As I am expecting to take it also (I have already filled in the form for the license conversion and also the medical declaration) could you give me some tips about it? Anyway, good luck for the ground courses in HK.
