I am slotted for the 21st/22nd. I am little confused/don't know if I have to do any immigration/visa stuff. Anyone care to throw some light on it? Thanks.

Wow, this thread is going bonkers at the moment. Yes, I have my interview on 23-24 May. Are you folks arriving a day before your interview? Does that still include 2 nights accommodation? I'm chewing my nails already. This is going to be fun.

Stage 2

cobracommander,

I am also in the same boat .From the posts in the past two days, I can say they have only scheduled interviews for 1 week ( Mon - Fri ) i.e from 21 - 25 May bcoz i dont see anyone getting dates after 25.So I think we should wait till next weekend till they decide the next schedule.

May be we are not in that top list of first stage result.

Hi all,
my first post and not quite sure if it's adequate here. I'm also thinking to apply to Cathay 2nd program but my greatest "thinkabout" is that how you're supposed to live during your training.
Because you probably have used a huge pile of money for your Cpl training, in here it's about 100k€. So now you're supposed to somehow keep yourself alive during your 60, or 30 weeks with no pay during training.
I just mean that half to one year with no salaries, and still need to pay your loan to bank.. How are you guys going to do that?

Gosh will there still be better times someday....?

CPLPilot 87,

This is a good question!

Is it possible that Cathay does not assist its cadet pilots with any scholarship?

You will get AU$105 a week, so AU$420 a month.. all living costs (accomodation, food all that crap) is already paid by CX..

Cheers.

There wasn't going to be a Sim check in the first place. Folks from the TT course will have to do so. The only Sim check for AE pilots would be done during the flight grading in Adelaide (provided I get there)
