Hi guys the last letter I received was
Dear Captain,
Thank you so much for showing your interest in joining our Organization. We have your CV and will update you regarding examination date as it is not been decided yet. Date confirmation will be coming to you once been
finalized.
That was in november. Did anyone got any mail after this letter? Any news after this??

I work with a company that provides aviation services to operators.
A SG captain came by our office, we were on the recruitment topic and he told me that they are not going to recruit for the next year.
In all honesty i don’t know whether it’s true or not but it is definitely believable since recession is going to hit our shores.
I thought its worth knowing that another door to the airline slams shut for a whole year.
Any news about the exam..

Maybe your sources are right about the probability of the next intake to be held in 2013 after the Jan/Feb 2012 intake. As far as I know, SG is supposed to bring in the next set of Q400s by July 2012, that would make a total of 15 Q400s. I believe they need CPL holders for those aircrafts i.e. if they are added to the fleet by July 2012. Now, I have no idea about the dates for the Jan/Feb exam. The recruitment personnel sent various emails to many candidates, but they can't confirm the dates either. We can only play the waiting game.

i had a word with my friend in last batch.. He said he asked there and they said the exam will happen its just that they didn't finalized the date yet

Buddy, my company handles all the ferries for SG whether its from Bombardier HQ or Seattle, i know exactly how many Q4s / 73 that are coming down and precisely when.
Do you reckon we have to draft out a DD of 20k for this attempt?

smartflyier - You mentioned the ground classes for the last batch started a week ago??? Are you sure about that? Is it for the Q400 or the 737 type-rated CPL holders?
f14-Rav3n - I assume you're the right person to ask - Will SG be recruiting CPL holders in the near future and are they bringing in more Q400s this year?

IT IS TIME GUYS.. JUST RECEIVED THIS EMAIL FROM MAHANTESH ABOUT 5 MINS AGO. LETS START PREPARING AND ALL THE BEST TO EVERYBODY.
Dear Candidate,
Greetings….!!!
Subsequent to the application sent for the post of “Trainee First Officer”. We are pleased to inform you that we are conducting a written entrance examination on 31st January 2012. Those candidates who qualify in written examination will have to undergo further selection process.
Your are required to come and collect your Examination Roll Number on or before 25th January 2012 from SpiceJet Corporate Office (Gurgaon).You are required to carry a Demand Draft of Rs. 25000/- drawn in favor of “SpiceJet Limited”, payable at Delhi. Kindly mention your name, CPL number and contact details on the backside of the demand draft. Venue and timing details will be shared with you on the same day.
You are also required to bring with you an updated CV, two passport size photographs, and the following documents in original as well as one photocopy each:-
1) CPL and IR
2) FRTOL
3) RTR
4) Class one Medical.
5) Photo ID Proof

i have recieved two emails from mahantesh stating that "the exam will be on 31st jan and ofcourse we need to pay them 25k for the same"
and second email states that "they want us to email him our cpl number asap"
