Just curious, how difficult is the ICAO English test to the typical Hong Kong locals?

the content of the ICAO English test is not really difficult if one has constant exposure to the terms and news in the industry.

the only critical part for locals I believe is the fluency.

wdiagw00 is right. Ive heard even guys who speaks English as their first language fail on fluency because they use too much fillers like er...am.... like... you know... Its not that you cant use them, but just dont use them too often.

And don't worry too much about your accent. I have pretty thick Cantonese accent and I still passed the test. Instead of speak quickly to try to cover it up, try speak a bit slowly and clearly.

hey guys, just wanted to find out how long does it usually take to get a slot for the CTC assesment after you applied? i applied to KA a month ago, and have been waiting for their reply. checked online and it says" application is still being processed". just wondering how long is it for you guys? i also heard that all cadets application for ka has been stopped. if so, phew at least i managed to apply before the deadline. cheers.

Applied with 3000 TT, 2500 738. - Didn't hear anything back from them. Seems to be very quiet the last 6 months, apart from the cadets of course.

Application requirements state 3000 Min. if no airbus experience.
