Aptitude Test Invitation
After Long Wait...
Finally I have been just noticed the aptitude test in coming week
I thought I did screw up my initial test but so far I checked the online status is "under processing"
Thank to dolpinsky about that
Moni is calling right now. who else have finished initial test dont miss your 3193 call
One more stupid question..
As all of u may know, business attire is not required in the initial test
(although I did wear it)
does business attire be required in apt test as well?
Please kindly tell me about that
Thanks

Decision is final
Sorry to hear about that. Was this your first attempt or second?
As I know CX would only allow you to attempt twice max but I'm not sure about if it s the same with KA

Hi chan1008,
One thing I should point out is that..
the late coming of apt test actually does mean either or both of the following
1) I am not the tip top candidate to them
2) CPL schedule ... as MPL schedule should be around April and completed first
I think it probably is the former one
But as long as your status is under processing
I do believe they will call you on some time
otherwise, they just come to let you fail and reapply one year later
Allright my initial test was on 23/3
Just kindly ignore me if you find my above thought is useless
Superwills.
I do listen about the rumor as well
But actually I do know quite a number of pilot in both com. did attempt three times or more on each airline

Hi indomi,
Mmm.. Is that you ask the same question on other thread as well?
Probably not that harsh...
I am confident of my poor english
I would say roughly 60% to 70% could get a pass
Just if you want to be noticed in a really short time
then try your best
It is not the real challenge man
take it easy, feel ease and you will get it
So have u applied yet?

Would someone please kindly share the model of engine being used in KA's fleet
I want to get a more understanding about this as I believe this would help in later stage of interview

Researched from Google. In 2008, there are 2 new A320-200 with IAE Engines
"The two new A320-200s, acquired on an operating lease with CIT Aerospace, are scheduled for delivery in 2009 and 2010. The aircraft will be powered by V2527-A5 engines from International Aero Engines AG. "
And In 2012, another 4 A320-200s are with IAE Engines
"BOC Aviation has signed agreements with Hong Kong Dragon Airlines (also known as "Dragonair") for the lease of four new A320-200 aircraft. Two aircraft will be delivered by the end of this month and the other two in the last quarter of this year. All four aircraft are powered by IAE2527-A5 SelectOne engines. This is the first time that BOC Aviation and Dragonair are working together."

The 330s have Trent 772-60 and 772B-60 depending on the variant. (71,100 lbs max T/O thrust)
The 321s have IAE V2533-A5 and the 320s have V2527-A5 engines. (33,000 lbs and 27,000 lbs respectively)
