hey guys..how do you practice the aptitude test? I have been doing aptitude software from cockpit web..but some of the tests where holdmetight posted are not included in it..like the irregular shapes. How do you guys make preparations for this exercise? and..how do you guys practice a few of them simultaneously?

i think DA16 will be in NZ with CTC starting at the end of the year, then DA17 will probably start in about april-ish back at FTA in AUS again. not sure about MPL3 (held by OAA) though, but i'm guessing that it would start in the middle of next year like it did for MPL1&2.

Just did the aptitude test this afternoon. This is actually the second time I've done it so I did much better than last year. Could anyone tell me when I could expect a call if I've passed the test?

KA Aptitude test
Hi jzjman,
Well done for completing the apt test for KA! I will also be doing the apt test this coming Thursday at 1530 (01/11/12) Do you mind sharing what scores u got for each test and what I should be aware of in these particular tests!? Also what do u think is the most challenging from the apt test? How should we handle with the joystick? Small movements and left hand to hold still the joystick to keep it stable?
I am currently preparing the apt test from the aptitude software from cockpitweb as well as subscribing the CTC Wings Pilot interview package from lastestpilotjobs.com (Latest Pilot Jobs - Login-Latest Pilot Jobs)
I cannot really practise the test for irregular shapes and flying through the boxes because there is currently nowhere I can find practise for it! Although I've tried to use FSX for flying through the boxes test if that is useful enough?
Anyway will be looking forward for your reply and really appreciate any info you can disclose to us!
Thanks

Hi jzjman ALKC1007,
May i ask when did u do your initial test? is that the one on 18/10?
I did my initial test on that day and did my app test on 22/10.
Did anyone receive any reply from KA after your app test??
Quite worry about it now since it's been a week from my app test and ppl said this should almost be the time that u will receive a reply from them.

To Ezreal
Same question again, have you tried to log into the application profile and see what it tells for your status? U will probably see "under processed" or wait for another yr which means you are unsuccessful

I do, it has been 11 weeks since I have done my apt test, i thought i failed that until I got the invitation a few days ago. But my application was an international one. Told them I have moved back to HK, then they changed my application to a local one at once and rescheduled the 1st interview to the coming Thursday (it was 29/11). so finger crossed, 1st interview should be some general HR interview. but what come next are real challenge

What do you mean by which course? MPL? CPL?
it should be CPL? the 1st batch of MPL is yet to graduate :/
but I don't really mind at all, MPL, CPL, as long as they offer me a place, I would take anything at any cost

Try to be relax, no news is good news, I thought I failed the apt test, been waiting for 11 weeks, 11 weeks! so, have faith. and errr, I can tell you I didn't do very well in the apt test, I almost panicked in the 9th task (3 tasks multitasking) but anyway, will do preparation for the 1st interview 1st, it shouldn't be too difficult if i know how to present myself and prepare enough.
will keep updating my progress as usual, so guys, stay tuned
