Its more on the sensitive side. But being over controlling the aircraft is nothing to do with if the control is sensitive or not. It is when people tend to put in too many aggressive inputs when it is unnecessary, ending up aggravating the unstability of its flight path when it was already unstable due to the input of the user. Let the aircraft fly itself back to the intended path, rather than actually 'placing' it back to the path

I got 1 more miss than score in the multi-task game

and I can't really improve on my flying even though I try to reduce my input as much as possible

Not only you need to reduce the input, but also flying accurately is also essential (always pass through the very centre of the boxes)

SO at KA

Hi all, sorry if i missed it but I can't seem to find it on this forum.

For CX SO, they will be "relief pilots". But what would an SO at KA do? I don't think they are relief pilots right? What's the difference between an SO and a junior FO at KA?

difference is, KA's SOs and/or FOs actually do FLY THE PLANE, for CX you get to SIT in the cockpit for quite a while, literally

I screwed up my AT yesterday
Scored only 8 but made 6 mistakes in the multi-task exercise..
And for the deviation indicator..I got only 5-6-6 for the three trials..

Seems that I have to re-apply in the next year...

Yau

Do we need to anticipate where the square is moving and make correction when it starts moving or we have enough time to see where it is moving and then make correction?

I did the IT & AT on the same day as you did
They say expect call in four weeks
so wait and see I guess

btw I got 6-6-6 for all three of my flying trials... it's not easy I guess

The idea to anticipate might be good, but its often the main cause to over control. The squares are coming towards you (or you are travelling towards the squares) at quite a low speed, so I think there are more than enough time to see where its moving, before you start putting in little adjustment to the aircraft's flight path. When you start, there is quite a distance before you get to the first box, so you should start getting yourself setup at the correct imaginary flight path as early as possible, so by the time when you reach the first box, you are going in smooth and already lined up for the next few boxes, therefore minimal corrections are needed.

I've heard that the advanced flight grading at KA uses DA-42? Isn't that a twin-engine? What happens if you don't have multi-engine rating? Are you still be expected to do take off's and landing?

If you look at the requirement, holder of HKID is still on the list. I think it is just for HK ID holders living in Australia, at least for the moment it is.

Advance Flight Grading uses either G115 or TB10 depending on the availability of the aircraft at the time of grading.
