Hi All

I think we have quite a few interested in starting a new study group, I suggest we can collect everyone whatsapp number then we can form a group of around 5-7 people and discuss our plan privately, how does that sound?

Hi guys and girls,

Just wondering if anybody could send me the cx cadet information book which is required reading before the interview?

Also, do you know if there is a cadet program from Hong Kong Airline?

Thanks,

Stage 1A

Hi guys
As per recent reports stage 1A JKI is changed to FAA pilots manual. But is anyone aware of the games alteration or they remained unchanged whoever can shed some light on this topic will really be appreciated.

Maths Compass

Hiya Guys,

I have my 1A stage coming up and I have a question regarding the Maths section and something that can relate to the whole COMPASS test which hopefully someone can shed light on.

Will they base your score on how accurate you are within the time limit (so say you finish all the questions before the time 20 minutes limit) or will they base it on how fast and accurate you are within the time limit (you finish all the questions in 10 minutes out of 20 minutes allowed)?

And I know it's a silly question but I assume that the dress code for stage 1A is smart work suits? ( asking for a friend who has this stage soon but doesn't have an account for pprune)

Kind regards!

Hi Leung and all,

Good idea. Let's start new study groups. Please email me your name, contact, a little background (e.g. age, education, preparation plan and outcome you want to get from the group) to [email protected] if you want to join the new study group.

Cheers,

Steve

Besides, wanna to ask if anyone tried to enrol some online courses which has 1 on 1 video session with trainers? I browsed some packages and want to seek some advice before enrolling. Thanks.

yeah, was talking with friends who made it to final stage to see if they can send me an updated JKI, but they said there's none and they studied from FAA handbook and researched on their own

I am wondering if anyone have already advanced to the Post-Second stage. AS CX have cancelled the flight grading and they are going to replace it with sth called “computer-based test”, I would like to know more about what is it really like. Can anyone share a bit about this matter???

19 Jan Cathay Stage 2 Interview

Congrats E170. When did you do the sim? I did it early Nov and got the good-news email a couple of weeks ago. (Am 320 rated too)
I spoke to the recruitment team and no one was able to give me much/any info on approx timescales, numbers swimming, how many are/are not 320 type-rated. They just said vague that they might have more info in Jan and to keep an eye on my emails.

Anyone have anything to add?

Because airlines not value the difference between an okay pilot that can just about pass a sim and a highly skilled, dedicated professional. As long as the plane flies...
