Hi guys.

I'm newbie here. I applied few weeks ago for Second Officer position but I have less then required 250 hours. Does anybody know if there is any chance to be selected for further checks and how quick do they usually reply?

Thank a lot for reply

I have a question when I am applying Cathay's cadet program. When I started the application, there are no position for me to select cadet pilot or should I just click the second officer button?

No, they aren't. For international applicants, the timeframe between 1A and 1B is a couple days, and for those who currently reside in HK it was about two weeks.

You’re looking at June 2020 mate. Who knows what’s gonna happen in June 2020?! And by the way, did you know that you now have to pay 2000 HKD to IAE for the ICAO profiecieny testing before you can attend an interview? Perhaps this time next year they are gonna move the sequence again. But to your question, Yes you can use a calculator in the maths test and No there is no reasoning test in the Cute.

Hi, what is the book they recommended ?

I am damn sure you are a typical honki donkey, who dreams to have everything served with silver spoon! you cant manage 2k for an interview??
Why do u need to compare with previous regulations!

cos 08 and cos18 will definitely be different, unless if u still wear 2008 clothes?

Crip and cringe, thats what i mostly hear from you guys.
Beg and dependant on government for house, scramble for green forms and white forms.
Need to be pilot, but seek fully sponspored scholarish and training.
Son, there is no free lunch.

I think you missed my point. My point is, if you are asking for information about the selection process in 2019 but you are not going to apply until 2020 then the information you gather could be invalid by that time, especially here at Cathay where things keep changing. In other words, you are just wasting of your time. and that's exactly what smm841 is doing. The fee to IAE is just an example to prove my point. Wasn't implying anything at all.
