by the way, nice to meet all you guys ! it is my very first time discussing in pprune hope one day i can be one of the cadet pilots in CX

I received the invitation email after 10 days I submitted the application last year September. However, I failed 1a, and I re-submitted the application again about 2 weeks ago, and I still haven't heard back from them....

Congratulations on your CPL. I am still working on my PPL, and hopefully I can get the flight test done in May. I have a bad feeling about not getting an invitation email from them, because there isn't much change from the content of the application form. (Except just more flying hours...) And I wonder for people who already have a basic pilot license, do they have to start from beginning at Adelaide if they get accepted into the cadet program?

Socsbrian - First of all, there is nothing called basic pilot license this kind of thing. I mean, how do you define basic? Recreational? Private Pilot? Commercial Pilot? It's so vague. But to your question, the answer is YES. They will still train you from the ground up even if you have a PPL under your belt, which is kinda depressing, and a waste of time and money. The good side is, you have more experiences than some of those who don't.
varundatta.hk - I don't wanna bum you out but the fact is that they have put AE course on hold and are now focusing on Ab-initio, TT and DEFO. Unless you are willing to downgrade yourself, meaning to go by via Ab-initio I don't think you will hear them back anytime soon. Better to give them a call.

Gonuts - I initially apply for the ab-initio when I had my ppl in 2015. Now that I have my CPL I would have thought I am re- applying for the same program. I don't mind downgrading.

Hi sorry to ask this again but has just been invited for my initial 1A interview for the CPP. What books/materials would you recommend studying prior to the interview.
Also is anyone else studying for the initial 1A currently and would like to form a study group?

Hi all guys. I am a newcomer here aiming to apply for the CX CPP.
I have submitted my application but I am not sure if meet I the criteria to get an interview opportunity. Anyone know how long does it take normally to get an interview after the submission?
BTW I would like to join any study group if available.
Please feel free to email me: [email protected]
