Cathay Pacific

For Pilotwannabehk

Hi I'm wondering if you could give me a little info pls?? I see you are in HKG, I am in the UK. I Understand that Cathay Pacific prefer their Pilots to have been born in HKG is this the case or is it a requirement to have been born there?.
thank you

@BJTW

You don't need to be born in HK but you need to have the Right of Abode (possess permanent HKID) in HK to apply for apply for the cadet program.

I've had a cataract surgery (from accident) done last year. As a result, I've an astigmatism of 0.5 diopter on my left eye but 20/20 on my right eye. Do I pass class 1? Does anyone know? . Thanks.

Study Groups

Im interested in study groups as well! If any study groups are welcoming new people please hit me up! Justt a little background information. Ive never applied to the cadet program before as Im still in my final year of university. However, I do have a little bit of flying experience and have been doing quite some amount of studying for the past year. Looking forward to sharing and learning with people!

AE interview

Tweekey & Minger

The interview is only with HR, no technical questions, only questions about your background + a few questions about the company and HK.

Good luck

Minger

I applied for the AE. I went through the initial stage a couple of months ago. It was the interview, an abstract reasoning test and a multi choice technical test (really basic stuff).
The final stage is spread over 2 days in HK. Day 1 is the group exercise, personality test and sim assessment. Day 2 is the compass tests, panel interview, language proficiency test and finally the medical.
This website is really useful for practicing the compass tests

CX Interview

Gents,

For those of you attending upcoming interviews, congrats. Please share the gouge/info when you return.

I am slated for a Final Interview for TT, 13-14August. Anyone else on for those dates? Drop me an email if you care to chat. If not TT, I hope to see you all down the line somewhere.

Best,

AA

If anyone applied and got the request to fill out the HK licence form, how long til they responded after you filled in the form? If anyone is through that stage and would like to discuss in pm I'd very much appreciate that.

Anyone who is through to round 2 or final interview, how many hrs did you have for AE or cadet? How many hrs SE ME IFR Night?
