@propdog
just create a separate logbook and show much ever SOLO those dim witted paper pushers want to see.
It's PIC time, not SOLO, but then again, remember you're dealing with a sh!thole called DGCA.

Please Dont Confuse
PIC time what DGCA considers is clearly mentioned on PAGE 2
Point 12a and 12b
As PIC {Col (2) +(4)+(7)+(10)}
See which colums they are.
There is no concept as PIC for single engine.
I am not sure about logging hours as CFI.
Please contact DGCA office directly.

After reading this thread, I understand that I can log time after my PPL in USA as PIC and Dual both. That way I get a total time of around 230 hours and PIC of 110 Hours.
Now to convert my license, for the form CA-39 , If I put those PIC hours as dual(Coumn 1)instead of Solo (column 2) then my PIC will be lesser than minimum of 100
The other way, If I put those PIC hours in Solo, then the dual hours numbers of my log book and the the CA 39(Column 2) wont match.
Anyone has any suggestions for me?

@keyur
If you read FCL 1 / 2012 there is a point in there that specifically deals with this issue . It says something like irrespective of holding a PPL
Bottom line is you cant log PIC and dual simulatneously . If you do you will have a lot of diffculty filling the CA39 and the cpl application form
The dgca adds the PIC and DUAL time to arrive at your total time
if they see dual and PIC logged simulatenously they will just ask you to make a new logbook
If you are short on PIC time then please fly some more . Same way i hope your 300 nm xc was flown solo
same way all instrument time ( under the hood ) should logged as dual as well except for the skill test / checkride
@smiling monkey
I understand its quite easy to bash the indian system but the above candidate is talking with respect to his flight time in the US
The FAA allows both PIC and DUAL to be logged simultaneously after obtaining a PPL and this creates problems when trying to convert to the dgca license as they wont accept it

Okay, then. I have about 23,000 hours, I haven't logged in the last seven years because I am not looking for a job and my current employer, who shall not be named in Abu Dhabi knows about my background. Does that mean that I need to recreate my log book for the last few years? Was thinking of taking a Jet contract but will not if they and the Indian bureaucracy makes my life difficult.
