I think the noise comes from the floor grill, just in front of the flight deck door. It is more obvious in the 321 than the 320. More keel beam drains?

Ryanair would provide a nicer lifestyle than Monarch 320/321, since they manage to avoid 18-30 rest periods and have more days off.

Jet2 would be better, since you wouldn't contantly be doing 900...

Despite your bus rating, if you stick out for it, you should get 757/A300. If you join on the 320, you'll have a work pattern like Easy with plenty of taxis thrown in. Anyway you'll have no sector...

I've experienced a 2g landing. It was very unpleasant but it didn't do any damage. Based on that, my feeling is that 11g would leave the aeroplane in little bits!
