Very much doubt that anyone will give a flying fig about introducing some competition and that's all that's happened. Unite still has the overwhelming majority of unionised legacy crew on its books....

The need for unanimity of the Branch Committee in the rules makes it impossible to agree anything that deviates from the strike mandate without an emergency meeting.
