No, Sonar search is not for locating pings, Sonar search is basically 3D imaging of seafloor with ultrasound. It gives you a large scale picture of the bottom. Wrecks and debris on the bottom becomes...

it looks like right wing outer flap actuators are disconnected. There are two of them and the are located at the both ends of the flap. Thus, position of the flap on the picture does not refelect...

On the picture that Kulverstukas posted, there is a righthand maingear. It is interesting that first pair of wheels are torn off. Quite a force. Normally first pair of wheels hit the ground first, as...

Beyond Line of sight

First, when I read this, I thought ITU wants to use short waves, which naturally propagate beyond line of site, only they are very tricky to use reliably. Plus very narrow band don't allow much data...

look at pivot point

Dear friends!

If jackscrew was suddenly disconnected, then HS would have just followed wind direction. Meaning HS became neutral and useless.
It would have initiated immediate nose dive.

So there must have been at least one ACT tank.

If it ruptured at initial event and spilled fuel and vapors into cabin, it is a good explanation why only backward seats were scorched.
Pieces...

I was thinking about the same. Aloha's initial event that caused shedding of all cabin skin started from roof and progressed rear and downwards until stopped by stronger fuselage-floor...

Here is one example of a small piece of fuselage that was peeled off during a break up process. Peeling continued rearwards until structure was weak enough to break apart close to wings, not close to...

Thanks for doing reconstruction image of tail fin. I had something like that in my mind.

If there was a large uncontained LH engine compressor failure, all the compressor parts flown out at high speeds and fan separated at the event, then it would be difficult to explain sooting and...

There isn't any pictures showing underside of rear fuselage. But this kind of sooting is not normal for sure.
It points to a fire after initial event and for quite some time. It means that after...

I start it backwards.

Forward part fell to ground tail first upside down. That is due to aerodynamics and gravity center.
Before ground impact there was a fire underside between wings. Left...
