Silly me losing emails

I must have hit the wrong button.
Running Windows XP
Using Outlook Express 2002
Every time an email arrives to the inbox, it gets dramatically deleted and I cannot even find it in the deleted mail...

Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
In earlier versions. It was possible to scan in an A4 document (typed on old equipment) and re-edit in a new document.
This facility is no longer in Word 2010....
