Actually - why on earth wasn't it diverted to BOH!? They have CATIII auto-land in fog-bound conditions and it would've cost a fraction busing them from there to SOU.

I cannot imagine why any airline would do that unless they had no idea when the fog would lift and didn't want to keep the passengers waiting at STN with no information. It can't be cheap offloading...

They sold out their first Luxor within a few weeks so they put a 2nd one on and I booked on that one. It was an early start and got back just after midnight. Was exhausting but fun. Full flight!
