Why not go to RAF St Athan instead?
Total cost for landing and 1 night parking was £55 only 2 months ago.
It's a bit further out and doesn't have the same transport links but half the price.

It is only ever really inadvertent at night and even then you can usually tell you are about to enter cloud if there is any moonlight or ground lighting...

ended up going to LEPA (big airport) again.
Principally due to Schengen rules and wanting to go direct from the UK.

Rotorfossil and others - I agree this little aircraft does far better with a VP prop - (after going through a couple of warp drive fixed pitch props and an arplast fixed pitch (worst of the lot) mine...
