It may commence as an ADVISORY, become a CAUTION and then become a WARNING. It unlikely to be an instant WARNING. But could be depending on the aircraft altitude and whether climbing or descending....

Airbus do say within the FCOM that the terminal procedure contained in the FMS database must be checked ( inc altitude constraints ) and that it may only be modified following an ATC instruction.
