"servo transparency" is the exact terminology that Aerospatiale used in the 350B manual years ago when I flew that type. Not sure if they still use that term, I haven't read a Eurocopter 350 manual...

Yes, Firefighting is the main use for the VFR fleet in Canada. There are a handfull of ships moving drills on seismic as well. The Canadian registry shows 82 - 212's, 55 - 205's, and 27 - 204's.
