Flybe and BFS

Talk above of a Flybe split site operation between BHD and BFS is, to me, never going to happen - Flybe, in a previous guise as Jersey European tried it and it did not work (BA, Easyjet {Luton from...

In 1989 Amber Air had at least 2 B737's - G-BKMS B737 2Q8 22453 and G-BOZA B737-204 20808.

Not sure about the ealrier post that it was taken over by Paramount as it could only fly MD83's....

Several posts back BALHR said he regards Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as "Ireland". He then asks does anybody disagree. I certainly do as factually he is wrong. The Republic of...

Winter cut backs

Why is there so much hype about a winter reduction in capacity on routes to the US? Air Transat and Air Canada drop their routes to Dublin for the winter. US airlines reduce capacity every other year...

Also don't forget we had Air Bristol and Air Belfast from an airline based elsewhere in the past and of course Manx Airlines with a Cardiff base and then there was Jersey European with a base in...

Amsterdam

In response to the question about Amsterdam being an Air UK route, KLM or NLM as it subsidiary was then, flew F28's from Amsterdam to BFS. Air UK was much later split in to Buzz ((which was taken...

BA fleet

Has anyone heard anything about an order for 10-12 A320 family? If so is it for extra capacity, to replace some older Airbus frames or the long awaited phase out of the LGW 737's?

Traffic statistics

The important issues from these figures will be maintaining the Middle East numbers in the long term and sustaining the US traffic at these levels. Domestic is a bit of a red herring as it was mostly...

Aer Lingus and Ryanair

Reading all the posts one would think the free market had never been heard of and Aer Lingus has a God given right to exist and continue to exist. While EI is doing well at present and has a good...

BA timetable

I recall arriving several times in the 80's on the last Friday night inbound BA from LHR (B757's often with BaC1-11 as the back up) to find we parked up at the international gates. The reason was...

Cityjet to Luxemburg

Highly unlikely - Lux cound not fill emb so hard to see Cityjet filling either RJ or F50, particularly as it is in poor shape, downsizing its fleet and being considered for sale by Air France

Manx or BA Connect (I think before Eestern got the J41s and before Flybe took over BA Connect) did Man - London Stansted as I think did Air Berlin. Cityjects predecessor, VLM did Manchester - London...

Ei and BHD

Reading a bit between the lines in the press today, EI will do LHR 3 times from BHD plus 3 to LGW. I assume this requires 2 aircraft. Then add daily to Malage and Faro for summer 2013. No mention of...
