Knots a scam!

I responded to an online offer for a Bangkok B767 Captain job with Knots.

Turns out the are offering me a job with the company I currently work for and if I sign a contract I pay Knots 1000.00 USD...

Get a life?

I for one would love to continue to fly until I am unable to do so. If you are in a situation where you need a Captain to retire to see an upgrade then I would suggest looking for another career.

A predicted eventuality??????

Being one of the expat pilots who flew for OX for two years, I can say that this was predicted by most of us who worked there and were eventually looking for safer pastures.

RAK Flying??

Today at 12:00 local I was passing overhead of Dubai at FL360 and heard Rak Air talking with control, heading to Doha VOR. Not sure what they were doing but they were airbourne.

Flight Safety International is the one I used in March. Bargain with them since they really are the only one's providing the Type Rating in the USA.

The difficulty??

The fact of the matter is that the UAE Aviation Authority wants Nationals to have the "postholder jobs" at RAK and specifically in Flight Ops.

I have spoken to two individuals who were not UAE...

I also received a letter of confimation in December for a class starting the end of May 2007, with the same response.

Class dates at SIA Cargo

Just wanted any who have expectations on the class date, in late 2006, that it is unlikely to happen. I interviewed early June and was told that if successful I could expect a class date in November...
