After the T-Bird in Canada in '53 the Vampire came as a bit of a shock. After learning my trade on 605sqn I rejoined in ' 57. Flew various marks. IIRC, 5,9,10,11 & 22. Many a tale there.

Command Films

Round about 1960 CAS decided that each Command should have a film made about their work. I was involved in the Training Command version.

"Learn" a second language

You don't need a second language to be a pilot. English is the required language for commercial flying. That said, it is great fun to speak a second language at street level. Forget 5 year courses....
