Lots of places operate with no radar and handle more traffic, I expect they still have SSR. It's obviously a bonus to have everything working!

you either do not understand that when planes are not on the ground they are doing work, companies including Northern get paid for this. Therefore just because the aircraft was not on stand it does...

Same problem, I take a battery out now. Great headset otherwise but a pretty big flaw in the design which I guess was not picked up in testing. Hopefully they change this for later models.
