I've never heard of Qantas doing online video interviews before, though it does seem an efficient way to screen candidates.

For all this about Pan Am's amazing service, TWA (and BOAC) were generally considered to have far superior cabin service. Pan Am's was often considered "snooty" and "cold" compared to TWA

The 777 seems MUCH more "stable" than the rear of an A340/A330, especially in turbulence

I think the tasman flights operated by short haul are now just the Queenstown service and the occassional substitute for Jetconnect services. The A330 SYD-AKL-LAX-JFK is Long Haul.
