Why would they Johnny? There are plenty of GA pilots in Oz. Japan on the other hand doesn't have a bucket full of people to choose from when they open an airline.

Now let's be realistic here. Do people on E3 visas really think they will flow to AA? Last time I checked AA required a US passport or green card. Regardless of what you are told at regional level.

Well you would think so but Skywest paid an external company to do it which was rather expensive.

The employer can download all the templates needed with a quick Google search.

If the US regional uses a lawyer to do the LCA paperwork then the costs of recruitment will certainly be higher.

I know one US regional does it inhouse so the cost difference is negligible.

There is no such thing as a validation of your CASA medical by FAA. You can get an FAA PPL that is valid to fly N reg aircraft (ASEL or AMEL whichever licence you hold) day vfr as long as your casa...

Problem is they aren't pilots who are getting back into aviation. They are just jumping from other regionals.

Even with the new pay rates you need to fly max hours to gross 45k a year.

I would suggest doing your training at a school in the USA that does FAA and EASA licence on completion. The Australian licence is pretty useless outside OZ but not that hard to convert FAA to Aussie...

No country will accept another countries medical unless it's for a licence validation. Your are stuck with CASA.
