Made for each other

Amazing detail in your pics VF. That busted arse umbrella that looks like it was used as a shield against falling rocks & what looks like a tractor steering wheel sticking out of the rubble. Are they...

This week in Britain

Half a life time ago ABC Austalia used to screen a program fronted by a Pom with a plum in her mouth called 'This week in Britain'. One memorable episode featured a Wessex with microwaves piped up...

Extractor

I did a few hours in one. Beta II performance from a bit of kit with no moving parts, impressive actually. Also gives your helo that vaguely phallic look.

A job worthwhile

Top-of-the-world April tragedy two years in a row, nature being grim. Helicopters plucking people from harms way, uplifting literally & emotionally.

A job worthwhile VF, sometimes I think all any...

Now why that particular terrace VF, why not the one below or the one above? Or was it like a lot of my landings? ie the one with the cow pat, or ant mound, or poison ivy, or pop up sprinkler,...

Lost in translation

I don't think I understood a single post. Plus, in Australia, the mil Blackhawks don't say anything on the radio. Even when they are mixing it around the Sydney Harbour Bridge with a bunch of VFR...

Over their heads, just how like VF likes his TR

Is that wooden structure to the rear a perfectly serviceable heli deck that you have chosen to ignore in favour of the buttercups VF?

To each according to his means

Hey Dick I once purchased a good used R22 for about the same as RK want for that repair! Very egalitarian of the helicopter industry to attempt to keep us all broke, rich & poor alike.

Heliflite...

The happy medium

Lames seem to set the belts so tight these days that the MRBs turn while cranking, makes life hard for the starter motor. I guess if it makes it less likely the belts will jump the groove then so be...
