I doubt it will replace the 737. Too big.

The least reliable part of VNAV is it's approach function. I've loaded the same approach to the same runway with the same speeds + altitudes on numerous occasions and watched in amazement...

You simply re enter the desired descent speed in the descent page, execute and voila!

Qantas mostly uses the CF6 powered 767s on Tasman services. On some services, Rolls Royce powered versions (mostly seen on Aussie domestic services) are used.

I'm not sure about the "whine" bit...
