I almost switched it off in the first minute after the controller gave taxi instructions to a vehicle. I stuck with it. It was quite good.

Controllers are expensive. Why would you want any more than what's absolutely necessary? It's more financially beneficial to cover any shortfall with AAVAs and deal with the odd traffic regulation.

It will be very interesting indeed. Although, I believe the cost reductions will be mostly coming from support services rather than the operational side of things. All part of the contract price...

It's all relative! Yes, you will hear the old-timers saying "it's not what it used to be" etc. and that is true. But the world is not what it used to be. It's not a hardship restricted only to ATC....
