Only real viewing points are the Aviation Viewing Park and the Airport Pub. Pub is within reasonable walking distance but Viewing Park (3 miles away) would need a bus (number 200) or a taxi ride.

I won a flight with the Blades a few years back at a competition run at Southport Airshow. I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences of my life and those guys are second-to-none....

I did the RAF Flying Scholarship at age 17 and first solo'd in 6 hours 40 mins. Some took over 10 hours. It's horses for courses...there is no right or wrong time...just a safe and unsafe time!!
