Interesting instinct

I sympathise with the guy about the initial error (I checked-in a jacket with shotgun cartrides in the pocket that I did not know about :O ).

What worries me is the action afterwards, I prefer...

0% Success

I am currently at 0 from 12 attempts. Lat time I tried to divert directly to the (e-passport) manned desk, but the person assisting at the e-gates insisted I tried one more time. I offered her odds...

Thanks Guys,

The fog was not forecast. So the logic is, with a problem at the destination, better save the hold fuel for the alternate and I guess the sooner you go there the better if you think...

Am I right to worry about an airline that does not carry enough fuel to hold?

Won't say who but a UK to Nice flight was diverted to MRS after a GoAround for 'fog' before refueling and returning to Nice.

They were the only flight not to land, made much of the fact that they...

Just get over it!

Sometimes I chip in to a load of dross with a piss take and deserve to get deleted, sometimes I feel it is unfairly deleted. I think the reality is that when the thread gets ballistic, the mods are...

Graceful Degredation.

After AF447 did Airbus modify the software for loss of speed sensors?

Getting the track from pings.

I understand all the wrinkles, but assuming constant heading and some assumption about cruise speed, you will actually get a track/position. (Actually 2 in most cases).

If the circles are...

Flight Path or Last Location Locus?

The 40degree arcs are greatly misunderstood, much of the press seem to think the plane was flying ALONG one of these arcs. As I understand it, these arcs show all the possible positions of the last...

I only took a quick look, but with A and D models together we have 85 accidents and 10% of pilots are women, so I am expecting 8.5 accidents with women, the fact that there are none is...

Has anyone turned on the wrong pumps before?

How often do people flip the wrong switches, only to be 'pulled up' by the CAD? Anyone done it? If it happens a lot then CAD fault alone might give us two slices of cheese lined-up.
Would the CAD...

Thanks Skyjob, as you say, if it is transponder based then I guess what I saw on landing was probably within spec (+/- 125feet) , just didn't expect to see such a wobble.
