I believe the issue is caused when the pilot “over-handles” the controls during landing in gusty or “more challenging than usual” wind conditions and the resultant behaviour of the FBW flight...

My understanding is current 7500s can be “upgraded” to 8000s, similar to G650s being upgraded to G650ERs.

That reference to $250k USD is WAY off reality - it's not cheap, but it's not anywhere near that... I guess it comes down to what the buyer has negotiated, but I would suggest it is closer to $140K...
