DUB-ATH

Would an 0515 arrival in ATH be a good time if you were to connect to the ferry services from Pireaus? The other flights often necessitate a night in Athens before heading off to the islands.

DUB hasn't shutdown. There have been go arounds but they are determined by the aircraft type and airline.

Dublin doesn't get all the demand, the demand is to and from Dublin. And the fact it is a small island means that services tend to centre on the place(s) with higher population density. If the...

EI A330

Afaik standard operations (JFK BOS & ORD) only require 2 cockpit crew. Not sure about MCO, it might depend on length of flight?

Pax evacuating with bags

Looking at footage/pics of other evaluations, it appears that many passengers ignore the commands of the crew to leave everything and get out. There is nothing a crew member can do if a passenger...

BA3

The later flight still has the attraction of a departure from LCY. Plus the real benefit from this service is the return JFK to LCY nonstop. The USCBP preclearance was only ever an added bonus.

Just how slight is the benefit to keeping them? I reckon it's a lot more than slight. In addition, selling LHR slots does not deal with the FR problem, in fact it would add to the already...

Consider via DUB?

It might seems a bit off the wall, but could you route via DUB to avail of the USCBP per clearance? That way there is no need to collect and recheck bags in PHL and immigration is completed before...

FR offer aircraft & crew

What use is the offer of crew and aircraft if its not the flight deck and cabin crew in EI that are on strike? This is just another publicity stunt by FR. Unless they are trying to find use for the...

fish Dub gate information

I have noticed that too Ayro. But if you are in T2 and your flight is using the "300" gates the FIDS will show you the gate number. It will only display "wait for gate" if you are departing from the...

On occasion it appears that pier B is used for one arrival but pax are still processed through T2. All departures are from T2 and the attached pier E.

No, flight EI109, the 1700h flight to JFK does not pre-clear. Will be interesting to see if BA consider changing the LCY-JFK services to via DUB, now that it is a city they serve from LHR. Perhaps...

Why does he think EI will compete with BA? Is it not more likely that the two airlines will complement each others schedules and code share ?

EI @ bfs/bhd

It's only ever been rumoured or suggested EI could be interested in moving, mostly prompted by a late release of the winter schedule. EI themselves have said nothing about a move to BHD.

BA DUB-LHR

A route like DUB requires frequency over aircraft size. Even EI have moved from nearly all A321 flights to nearly all A320 flights. Just 3 flights a day would mean long long layovers between...

Judging by the lack of opening handle, I'd say it was just a broken overhead bin. Diplomatic bags are carried in the cockpit and dangerous goods would be carried in the baggage hold.

Arriving into DUB @ 22.30/23.00 would mean the aircraft would have to overnight in DUB. It would also involve a departure from JFK at about 10.00 local. That would either mean the aircraft...

The morning flight EI 139 does not use USCBP and only departs 3 times a week. The later flight EI 137 does use the facility and the flight is daily. AFAIK the reason for the 139 not using it is due...
