Well, one time at Half Moon Bay I got the shit buffeted out of me by the wind, and I was at only a five foot hover.

I could see miles out to sea though, as it was a nice, clear day :-)

Well, I've been recreationally renting the R22 for a decade and a half and I haven't had any safety issues with the aircraft. That might not help you much, but they do say the 44 is just a big 22.

I don't think that article was all that bad. It simply points out that if you're going to fly a Cabri (especially if you're used to the Robby tail rotor) you need to pay more attention to the pedals....
