Maybe in a 737, But it's wasn't in other jets, like the Fokkers. The trim wheel is just geared ..again question the 737 design..are so many clack clack clack turns necessary?

This aircraft had multiple pitot static malfunctions in the days prior to the accident as per the tech log quoted in the report. Altimeter and VSI erratic.

If they had had a bird...

I have seen what appeared to be a meteor bounce from the atmosphere, high above, came down at a shallow angle relative to us, and skipped away at about a 10 to 15 degree angle, appeared to climb....

Palm TOGA buttons work quite well, mainly because the thrust levers have to be open before you can access them.

Perhaps these Boeing TOGA buttons should only be pressed after the thrust levers...
