Because it is not something you train for in most carriers. It is basically a takeoff in which the aircraft is trimmed for a very low speed, with flaps not in a TO setting and the TO Config blaring...

That also makes it even more scary, it is not a go-around, but a touch and go. Touch and gos in an airliner should not be a common thing, and it is certainly much more dangerous than a regular...

This is starting to look like a company SOP or training problem. In my many years as an airline pilot I have never witnessed such strange behavior from an airliner during landing.
